Here are just a few scenes from events managed by my company Inspired Events by Tami.

Ethnic authenticity, listening to client needs and helping them fulfill their dreams, keeping track of every big and little item, it all adds up to a memorable and enjoyable event.

It's all about doing it right, paying attention, triple checking, confirming deliveries, making sure the plans and designs are implemented correctly.

Yes, the success or failure of any project is "All in the Details" -- and that's where we focus.

If you want to rest assured that your wedding, fundraiser, party, or special event is in good hands, contact me today.

Details Separate the Amazing from the Generic

"That was astonishing. Beautiful. Perfect in every way." Words you want to hear from those who participate in and attend your important event.

To achieve praise and satisfaction is hard work. It also involves strict and focused awareness on things that most people don't notice until it's too late. When an event spins out of control, or is deeply disappointing, it's often the details that were neglected that are to blame.

Your wedding, fundraiser, party or other function deserves extreme attention to details. Taking care of every little thing, with a fussy perfectionism, can spell the difference between mediocrity and excellence. You don't want the generic, blah, or bland. You want something memorable, that will be admired, enjoyed, and talked about years later.

What might seem a small thing can suddenly become colossal, when it goes wrong.

The little touches are what many event planners just don't think about. They're rushing around, trying to manage and implement big things, but problems and errors in the details can ruin the best and most grandiose  plans.

Flowers that have wilted. Colors that don't match. Garbage spilling over from an unattended trash can. Electrical cords threatening to trip someone by how they're secured or placed. Generic decor with no imagination. Ethnic inauthenticity. Over-priced, poor tasting beverages that could be replaced by more satisfying, lower-cost alternatives. Dumpy, dorky arrangements that are not pleasing to the eye.

Texture. Depth. Visual impact. Lighting. Sound quality and volume. Distractions from adjoining rooms. Deliveries that were not confirmed. Miscommunication. Failure to triple check. Assuming it's being taken care of. Not having a Plan B if Plan A goes awry.

So many things can go wrong. So many "little things" can have a huge impact.

Let the professionals associated with Inspirations by Tami plan, design, and manage your next big event.

You'll  be delighted with our ability to coordinate and implement all the big and small aspects that combine to make your event special.

Hotel Pere Marquette menu 1947

Many lush and lavish balls, weddings, and conferences have been held at the Hotel Pere Marquette in downtown Peoria, IL. It is now be remodeled.

Here is a Pere Marquette Peoria Room menu from 1947.

Again, what is delightful about this menu is the attention to details.

The wonderful, prestigious, and elegant design makes this pleasant to look at. Every aspect of your wedding, fundraiser, or party should be just as aesthetically charming and coherent.

Wedding Planning Checklist at Real Simple

There's a great wedding planning checklist at Real Simple.

[Photo above by True Photography, at Karen Tran Florals.]

The list is broken down in "16 to 9 months before", "8 months before", etc. all the way to "Week of the Wedding". It's a good template for planning a wedding. But if you take on this burden yourself, with all the other tasks and responsibilities you struggle with now, your wedding can seem to be more of a problem than a joyous occasion.

Take a look at this Wedding Planning Checklist at Real Simple to see what I mean. You'll start to get an idea of the overwhelming amount of work that goes into most weddings. It's like staging a military campaign in the number of logistical things that must be resolved, triple checked, and organized.

Your wedding is a big day for you, your family, guests, and friends. It can be very stressful when something goes wrong. What some people might consider a "little thing" can make or break a wedding.

"The wedding was nice, but...." is something you dread hearing.

This is your special day. A moment in time that you've dreamed about since you were a little girl. You've rehearsed it in your imagination when you were very young, and kept mulling over it as you got older. Your sisters, mom, and friends have given you tips and ideas. When your wedding day finally arrives, the last thing you want is for that dream to suddenly turn into a nightmare.

That's where Inspired Events by Tami comes in.

Let Inspired Event by Tami be your trusted adviser. I'll take all the worry, fuss, and aggravation upon my shoulders. My collective partners and I will carry the load of planning, organizing, designing, and implementing all the details of your wedding and reception.

Relax. We've got you covered. It's going to be -- fantastic!

Photo: Could not wait to share this "OH SO CHIC" Setting with all!! Location: Antiguo Casino of Puerto Rico; Table and Floral Design, Décor: Emilio Olabarrieta and Julio Cintrón, Flora By Arquetipo; Photography: Gretchen Del Carmen-WOW!! xo

Strictly Weddings is my favorite blog for inspiration when it comes to weddings and events, and here is a little taste of why I follow them so diligently. This chic table could be seen in Paris, Barcelona, Rome,  Chicago, New York to LA.

What a gorgeous table. I just love the chair covers and the mirrored table.

One shot at Forever

This isn't what I intend to be my normal blog, but this is very near and dear to my heart.

The picture above is my Uncle Mark when I was very young and he was a senior in high school.

On the the front of the book titled "One Shot At Forever" a small town, an unlikely coach and a magical baseball season in 1971. I could write the whole jacket on this book but I will just hit the highlights.

Let's start with Coach Sweet who also taught English or Sweet as I knew him when I was little, a hippie who warmed up his team to Jesus Christ Superstar and a very small farming community in central Illinois who emerged from a field of 370 teams  to make it to the state final!!!!!

Unfortunately they lost the state final game, but it made a huge impact on all of the players, parents, students and basically the whole town of Macon. That day my mom said there wasn't one person left in town. They had all gone to Peoria (where I live now) for the final game.

If you get a chance to read this fabulous book written by Sport's Illustrated writer Chris Ballard, do it you won't regret it. A few of the players went on to the big leagues, even my uncle was scouted by the Cardinals, go figure my husbands favorite team.

I know blogs are supposed to be short and to the point but this has a lot of emotion for me. We miss you dearly Uncle Mark!

Premier Post

So, this is my first post on my blog. I will probably stumble, misspell etc.... but as we move on I hope to help the many new brides that will read my blog in the years to come.

The name "All in the Details", there are so many things that make up a wedding, no matter what type of ceremony it is. But it's the little details that can make, a beautiful wedding, that "WOW" wedding. As a consultant I need to make sure everything falls into place, so details, details details. I hope in the coming days I cover all the "little" things, that make your wedding that AMAZING event.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and come back to it for new ideas.
