I am going to follow Preston Bailey's advice and vary my posts.
I was going to talk about shoes, but here I am in Greeley, Colorado staying at the Sodbuster Inn Bed and Breakfast (which I highly recommend) wide awake thinking about when I brought my baby girl home, and now she is starting her freshman year at the University of Northern Colorado. Orientation, long day, but much better info than I got at my son's college.
I can't believe that she's going to college, and she is so ready to be here and out on her own. Now I want her to still need me, but she doesn't anymore, at least not in the way I would like her too!
She's moved into her dorm, will meet her roommate on Thursday and on Monday she starts school. And on Friday we leave her here. I had very hard time with my first child going to college but this is so much harder. I don't know why it is what it is.
Hopefully, she'll do what her brother has done in the past and text me about 11pm one night a week. I'm not sure how my son decided to do that but I always looked forward to those texts. So I hope my daughter does too. I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART! I know you've been here for a few months, and I know you can stand on your own two feet, but I hope you know I will always be here for you.

Blue Bunny Wedding Cake ice cream
Well, they finally did it. Ice cream in a wedding cake flavor, called "I Do, I Do". Isn't this cute?

A Piece of Cake
Marie Antionette's famous phrase: "Let them eat cake".
In the past it was customary to have a "wedding cake", to share with your guests and to thank them for celebrating your big day. But as in all customs, things do change. The traditional wedding cake is not the only sweet that brides and grooms can choose from.
I love that todays versions of the "cake", are highly personal. From beautiful, whimsical, sculptered cake to macaroons, incredible cheesecakes, cupcakes to pies. If you want it, it can be done, make it your own, these are the details that make it your wedding.
S'mores, what a fun fall idea. Thank you to "The Wedding Coordinator" and Style Unveiled for the great S'mores idea. These are the little details that can make your wedding spectacular, memorable, and mirror your personal style.

Ethnic authenticity, listening to client needs and helping them fulfill their dreams, keeping track of every big and little item, it all adds up to a memorable and enjoyable event.
It's all about doing it right, paying attention, triple checking, confirming deliveries, making sure the plans and designs are implemented correctly.
Yes, the success or failure of any project is "All in the Details" -- and that's where we focus.

Details Separate the Amazing from the Generic
"That was astonishing. Beautiful. Perfect in every way." Words you want to hear from those who participate in and attend your important event.
To achieve praise and satisfaction is hard work. It also involves strict and focused awareness on things that most people don't notice until it's too late. When an event spins out of control, or is deeply disappointing, it's often the details that were neglected that are to blame.
Your wedding, fundraiser, party or other function deserves extreme attention to details. Taking care of every little thing, with a fussy perfectionism, can spell the difference between mediocrity and excellence. You don't want the generic, blah, or bland. You want something memorable, that will be admired, enjoyed, and talked about years later.
What might seem a small thing can suddenly become colossal, when it goes wrong.
The little touches are what many event planners just don't think about. They're rushing around, trying to manage and implement big things, but problems and errors in the details can ruin the best and most grandiose plans.
Flowers that have wilted. Colors that don't match. Garbage spilling over from an unattended trash can. Electrical cords threatening to trip someone by how they're secured or placed. Generic decor with no imagination. Ethnic inauthenticity. Over-priced, poor tasting beverages that could be replaced by more satisfying, lower-cost alternatives. Dumpy, dorky arrangements that are not pleasing to the eye.
Texture. Depth. Visual impact. Lighting. Sound quality and volume. Distractions from adjoining rooms. Deliveries that were not confirmed. Miscommunication. Failure to triple check. Assuming it's being taken care of. Not having a Plan B if Plan A goes awry.
So many things can go wrong. So many "little things" can have a huge impact.
Let the professionals associated with Inspirations by Tami plan, design, and manage your next big event.
You'll be delighted with our ability to coordinate and implement all the big and small aspects that combine to make your event special.

Hotel Pere Marquette menu 1947
Many lush and lavish balls, weddings, and conferences have been held at the Hotel Pere Marquette in downtown Peoria, IL. It is now be remodeled.
Here is a Pere Marquette Peoria Room menu from 1947.
Again, what is delightful about this menu is the attention to details.
The wonderful, prestigious, and elegant design makes this pleasant to look at. Every aspect of your wedding, fundraiser, or party should be just as aesthetically charming and coherent.
